1. Overview of Inconel 601 (N06601) nickel-based alloy:

Inconel 601 (UNS N06601) nickel-based alloy contains 21.0-25.0% chromium and is a high-temperature nickel-based alloy containing approximately 72% nickel. Inconel 601 (UNS N06601) nickel-based alloy material has strong oxidation resistance and high temperature resistance. And corrosion resistance, it also has high mechanical properties at high temperatures. Inconel 601 (UNS N06601) nickel-based alloy has high high-temperature strength and excellent oxidation resistance, carburization resistance, and sulfur resistance. In particular, it has excellent resistance to oxide scale peeling in environments with severe temperature changes and repeated oxidation. Therefore, it is widely used in various heat treatment furnace components, diesel automobile glow plug parts, etc.

6. Inconel 601 (N06601) nickel-based alloy processing heat treatment:
Inconel 601 (UNS NO6601) based alloy is not a precipitation hardening alloy and therefore cannot be age hardened by heat treatment. When the temperature reaches about 900°C after cold working, the material softens. If the material needs to have high-temperature strength, it is recommended to perform solution heat treatment at a temperature of 1100~1200°C. At this time, the cooling method is water cooling. Depending on the plate thickness, air cooling can also be used. However, in order to avoid carbide precipitation, it is recommended to cool as quickly as possible in the temperature range of 500~800℃.
7. Inconel 601 (N06601) nickel-based alloy plasticity processability:
Inconel 601 (UNS NO6601) nickel-based alloy is relatively easy to hot process. The heating temperature is 1150~1200℃, the thermal processing temperature is 1050~1200℃, and simple processing can be performed below 850℃. Cracking will occur in the temperature range of 650~850℃. Please be sure to avoid processing in this temperature range. Regarding cooling after hot working, in order to avoid carbide precipitation, it is recommended to increase the cooling rate in the range of 500~800°C. Alloy 601 has excellent cold workability and can be processed in the same way as SUS 310S and Alloy800.
